2 chickens, about 1 kg each |

3-4 carrots |

1-2 chopped onions, few chopped celery stalks, |

5-7 diagonally-halved garlic cloves, |

meat stock, cooking oil, salt and pepper |

1 tablespoon cornstarch cornflour |

Cut the chickens into 4-6 pieces. |

Boil carrots, and after being cool, slice into thine rounds. |

 |
Parboil onions and celery in the oil until golden. |
|
 |
Arrange chicken pieces in oven pan, garnish with vegetables, season, and cover with meat stock. |

Place in moderate oven and bake for about 60-90 minutes, |
|
 |
Bast the pieces in their own juice, you can add some cornflour to make the juice thicker. |
