Stewed Artichokeswith Peas

8 artichokes |

1/4 kg shelled peas |

14 garlic cloves, salt |

1 tablespoon butter |

Cut artichoke hearts into 4-6 parts before stewing. |

Crush garlic with salt and mix with butter until smooth. |

Parboil peas, then add artichokes and boil together until tender. |

Add the vegetables, and simmer-tossing frequently-about 10 minutes. |
