Stewed Spinach (2)

1 tablespoon rice |

1 kg chopped spinach, |

6 halved garlic cloves, |

salt and pepper |

1/2 cup chickpeas |
|
 |
cooking oil, 1/2 kg beef |
|
 |
1/2 cup chopped dill |
|
 |
1 finely chopped onion, |
|
 |
2 cups tomato juice |

Soak chickpeas for 6-9 hours, boil for about 10 minutes, then drain. |

Fry the onion until golden, |

Cut beef into small cubes, add to onion and fry together until soaking the juice. |

Add the chickpeas, spinach, dill, garlic, and and allow to stew for 10-15 minutes, then mash coarsely. |

Add seasoning, tomato juice, rice, and and cook for 30-40 minutes longer. |
|
This dish should have a soupy consistency. |
