Rutabagas and Carrots

1 peeled and cubed rutabaga |

6 peeled and cubed carrots |

4 c. water |
|
 |
2 tsp. flour |
|
 |
1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley |
|
 |
1 tsp. salt |
|
 |
1 tbsp. sugar |
|
 |
3 tbsp. melted butter |
|

 |
Cook carrot and potato cubes in boiling water for 15 minutes on medium heat |
|
 |
While waiting for the vegetables mix the butter, flour, sugar, salt and parsley and then stir the mixture over medium heat |
|
 |
Remove vegetables from heat, strain, wash with cold water and put in a flash serving dish |
|
 |
Pour the butter sauce over the surface and serve hot |
