Pizza
Pizza is the most renowned Italian recipe served in numerous sizes, tastes and times. Pizza or Pizza Margherita in particular was first served for queen Marghrita and King Umberto in the 19th c. The most interesting feature in this pizza is the marvelous colors ornamenting the surface which was mainly the colors of the Italian flag.

2 1/2 c. flour |

1 envelope active dry yeast |

1 c. warm water |

Dash of salt |

2 tbsp. oil |

 |
Pizza sauce |
|
 |
1/4 kg mozzarella cheese |

Stir the yeast in 1 cup warm water with salt and oil and then add to flour step by step and then knead well |

Leave the dough to rest for a while covered in a warm place to rise for about 40 minutes. |

Press on the dough well and then divide into two rolls |

Spread one of the rolls in a greased pizza pan and then build up the edge with fingers |

Pout the sauce over the surface and top with the grated cheese and any other vegetables you like such as tomatoes or olive. |

Bake in preheated oven for about half an hour and then remove and set aside for more 15 minutes before cutting it in to quarters |
