Chop the chives. Peel and mince the 1/2 white onion. Set aside. |

Peel and slice the large cucumbers. Place in a bowl. |

Add salt and stir. |

Let stand for 20 minutes. Then press to drain cucumbers thoroughly. |

 |
Add the rest of ingredients into the bowl and toss until well blended. |
|
 |
Sprinkle with sesame seeds (if desired). Serve cool. |
