Chickpea Salad
This salad is a basic side dish accompanying the lamb served at the festive celebrations of Eid al-Fitr in West Africa.

4 c. canned chickpeas with liquid |

1 c. salsa, mild or hot |
|
 |
salt and pepper to season |

 |
1 tbsp. olive oil |
|
 |
1 onion |

Finely chop the onion. |

Place the chickpeas with liquid into a bowl. |

Stir the olive oil, onion, salsa, and seasoning until well blended. |
