Black Bean Stew


Black Bean Stew is the national dish of Brazil that is almost served in each and every house with different tastes. It is usually served with rice and collard greens.
المقادير
1/2 black beans  
1kg mild smoked pork sausage or pork tenderloin  
2 bay leaves  
3 minced garlic cloves  
4 tbsp. vegetable oil  
1 chopped onion, salt to taste  
5 c. water  
2 sliced oranges  
طريقه التحضير
Wash the meat with water and put in a large cooking pan and then submerge with water
Cook on a medium fire for half an hour or till tender with stirring now and then and adding water when needed
In another kettle, heat the oil and then add the onion and garlic and salt and fry till brown
Add the beans and mash gently
Pour the water and leave the mixture to boil and then add the bay leaves and the meat
Lower the fire and leave the mixture to simmer on low-medium fire for half an hour and then serve hot and decorate it with orange slices
