2 kgs cucumber  
2 tablespoons vinegar  
3 tablespoons salt  
1 cup chopped celery  
hot chili pepper (optional)  
20 garlic cloves  
6 cups water

Choose small, thin cucumbers
Peel garlic and halve diagonally.
Boil water and salt and put in pickling jar to cool.
After stiring in the vinegar, add all other ingredients in alternating layers, cucumbers, garlic, and celery.
The top layer should be celery to sink the cucumbers in the juice.
Weigh down and cover tightly and after 36-48 hours the pickles should be ready.
** For preparing the pickling liquid you should add 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon vinegar to every glass of water.


**If using hot peppers, either chop with celery or make a slit on one side of the pepper and add whole-the second option results in a less fiery taste.

** There is another way for preparing pickled cucumber:

1) Dissolve salt in water, add vinegar, and pour into pickling jar.

2) Add cucumbers and hot peppers, making sure that they are completely submerged in the liquid.

3) Weigh down, cover tightly and after 3-4 days would be ready to be used.
