Soak lupine overnight to make its outer skin softer allowing it to absorb more water and break down while coking it and to make it lose its bitter taste. |

Drain, add fresh water, and simmer over medium heat for 7-10 minutes. |

Drain, rinse with cold water, and soak again for 2-3 days, changing the water every 12 hours. |

Add 2-3 tablespoons salt and soak again for 24-36 hours, repeating this procedure every 12 hours. |

Drain and serve. |

** You can eat this meal without its outer skin by pressing the seed into mouse and discarding the outside covering.
** You may find vendors with Hand-drawn carts bearing mounds of these yellow seeds in the summer sprinkling fresh water on the lupine to keep them fresh and wet.
