Soak lupine overnight to make its outer skin softer allowing it to absorb more water and break down while coking it and to make it lose its bitter taste.
Drain, add fresh water, and simmer over medium heat for 7-10 minutes.
Drain, rinse with cold water, and soak again for 2-3 days, changing the water every 12 hours.
Add 2-3 tablespoons salt and soak again for 24-36 hours, repeating this procedure every 12 hours.
Drain and serve.
** You can eat this meal without its outer skin by pressing the seed into mouse and discarding the outside covering.

** You may find vendors with Hand-drawn carts bearing mounds of these yellow seeds in the summer sprinkling fresh water on the lupine to keep them fresh and wet.
