Prepare flavoring by placing 3 tbsp. cocoa in a cup mixed with enough water or milk to make a stiff paste. |

Start making cake by beating margarine with sugar in a large bowl until mixture is light. |

Mix the flour with the baking powder in a separate bowl. |

Add beaten eggs and flour mixture little by little to margarine-sugar mixture. Mix thoroughly and constantly. |

Heat oven at 375°F. |

Stir in flavoring into the batter. Blend very well. |

Grease cake pans, the lightly dust its bottom and sides with flour. |

Place equal amounts of batter into each pan. Unfold batter evenly with a spatula. |

Place pans in oven and bake in the middle to upper part of the oven for 20 minutes. |

Remove from the oven when edges of cake stick no more to the sides of pans. |

Set aside to cool for 10 minutes (in the pans), then transfer onto a wire racks to finish cooling. |

Cut into slices evenly and serve. |
|
When spreading batter into the cake pan, make the center a little lower than the sides because the center always rises more. |
