Sweet and Sour Sauce

To make 1 1/2 cups, you need: |

1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes, crushed |
|
|
1 c. sugar |
|
|
1 tsp. salt |
|
|
1/2 c. water |
|
|
1/4 c. white vinegar |
|
|
1 tbsp. ketchup |
|
|
|

Make a mixture of sugar, salt, water, ketchup, vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a large saucepan. |

Stir thoroughly until well blended. |

|
Place over high heat until sugar dissolves |
|
|
Remove from fire. Serve at room temperature. |
