Make a mixture of salt, nutmeg, egg, baking powder, and sugar in a bowl. |

Add 1 1/2 c. warm water to mixture, Stir constantly. |

Add flour little by little stirring well after every addition until dough is sticky a little. |

With your hands, shape dough into walnut-sized balls. |

 |
Place a deep pan with 1/2 inch vegetable oil over medium-high heat. |

 |
Fry balls for 4 minutes. Avoid putting too many balls each frying time. |
|
 |
When balls are golden, remove from heat. |
|
 |
Dry from the frying oil by placing on paper towels. |
|
 |
Transfer onto serving plates and serve warm. |
