Steamed Fish


The rivers that run through Vietnam are rich with an enormous variety of fresh fish, and seafood is therefore one of the basic dishes on tables.
المقادير
2 lb. fish fillets, chopped into mouthful pieces  
2 tsp. fish sauce  
1/8 tsp. pepper  
3 stalks celery, chopped  
1 tomato, chopped  
1 chopped clove garlic  
1 tsp. fresh ginger, finely chopped  
1/2 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced  
1/4 c. scallions, chopped  
Any firm white fish, such as cod, haddock, or halibut, can be used in this recipe. If using frozen fish fillets, thaw well first.
طريقه التحضير
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir thoroughly.
Boil 1/2 c. of water in steamer.
Place bowl, covered, into steamer.
Allow to steam over medium heat for 35 to 40 minutes.
When steamed, remove from streamer. Save the liquid juice.
Serve steamed fish hot in a plate with rice.
Pour steaming liquid over fish and rice.
