Simmered Beef and Vegetables
Sukiyaki is a Japanese recipe that is widely known in all North American countries

1 small can shirataki |

5 thinly chopped scallions |
|
 |
1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms |
|
 |
1/2 kg rib-eye of beef |
|
 |
1 12-oz. block tofu, cut into small pieces |

 |
1/4kh bamboo shoots |
|
 |
1 c. soy sauce |
|
 |
3 tbsp. sugar |
|
 |
1 tbsp. oil |
|
 |
1 1/2 c. water |
|

 |
Slice bamboo shoots into small pieces and rinse with cold water |

 |
Cut beef into small slices and fry in preheated oil |

 |
Put the chopped scallions, shirataki, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, and tofu with the beef |

 |
For preparing the sauce, mix the rest of the ingredients together |
|
 |
Coat the beef mixture with the sauce and cook uncover on low medium fire to simmer for 15 minutes and then remove to serve hot |
|
 |
It is usually served with white rice |
