Seasoned Fava Beans
Seasoned Fava Beans or Ful Medames is the national dish in Egypt that is regarded as essential dish in the breakfast of almost all the Egyptians. There are numerous ways for preparing beans in Egypt and each class serve it in its own way.

1 can drained fava beans, |

 |
1/4 cup olive oil |
|
 |
2 tbsp. lemon juice |
|
 |
3 crushed garlic cloves, |
|
 |
1/2 tsp. salt |
|
 |
Dash of black pepper |
|
 |
1/2 c. chopped parsley, |
|
 |
2 hard-boiled eggs |
|
 |
2 sliced lemons |
|
 |
2 chopped tomatoes, |
|
 |
2 chopped green onions |
|

 |
Combine beans with some olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper |

Cook the beans in a large saucepan for 8 minutes and divide into small bowls |

 |
Slice the egg into small wedges and place it in small bowl with lemon wedges, tomatoes, green onions, and the remaining olive oil |
|
 |
Serve the bowls of beans and eggs together as a delicious breakfast main dish or as a secondary dish at dinner |
