Rice with Beef (porridge)
You may find several types of rice in the market, you can determine the best and the worst kind from its volume not of its weight and the main difference between these types is the amount of water absorbed.
There are numerous ways for preparing rice, and more or less similar in the ingredients and the preparation of the rice itself.
Before cooking rice, you should rub it in water to get ride of the starch powder that makes it sticky. so you should rinse till you make sure that the water is clean and this should be shortly before cooking it in order not to spoil it.

2 chopped onions, |

1/2 kg beef |

cooking oil |

2 cups rice |

Mixed spices, salt |

 |
Fry onions in the oil to a golden brown. |

Cut beef into small cubes, add to onion and fry on high flame till juice is absorbed. |

Submerge with water with seasoning, and cook for 15-20 minutes over slow flame. |

Add more water and stir in the rice and seasoning, |
|
 |
Cover, and allow slow cooking for about 30 minutes till being porridge-like in consistency. |
