Rice Pudding, Baked Plain

1 tablespoon butter |

1 cup sugar |
|

1/2 cup rice |
|
 |
2 1/2 cups milk |
|
 |
2 tablespoons raisins |

 |
Place sugar in milk and allow to dissolve, then add rice, and cook over slow fire for 5-7 minutes. |

Turn off fire, stir in lightly fried raisins, and spill into oven pan. |

Top with dots of very small knobs of butter and cook in pre-heated moderate oven, until brown. |
