Potatoes Casserole (2)

1 kg peeled and sliced potatoes |

2 cups tomato juice |
|

12 garlic cloves |

1/2 kg veal |
|
 |
salt and pepper, 2 onions |

 |
cooking oil |
|
 |
4-6 ripe tomatoes |

 |
Peel and chop tomatoes coarsely, peel and halve garlic and cut veal into small cubes. |

Slice onions very thin, keeping all items separate. |

Saute onions in the oil, add tomato juice, and cook for 10 minutes. |

Add meat, garlic, and seasoning and cook for another 10 minutes. |

 |
Arrange sliced potatoes in lightly greased oven pan, bury the meat mixture among the slices, and cover with the cooked tomato sauce. |

Cook over slow fire for about 1 hour and then serve. |
