Potato Cake


المقادير
6 medium-sized baking potatoes  
seasoning  
1/3 c. melted butter  
You can substitute margarine for melted butter.
طريقه التحضير
Peel and slice potatoes thinly.
Grease a 9-inch pie plate.
Arrange potato slices, cheek by jowl, in the bottom of plate.
Adjust seasoning (salt and pepper).
Arrange the other potato slices adding seasoning if necessary.
Pour butter evenly over potatoes.
Place potato plate in oven at 400°F and simmer for about 50 minutes, or until tender.
Remove from oven, and carefully remove from plate.
Transfer onto a serving plate.
To serve, cut cake into wedges.
While cooking the potatoes, avoid covering the plate in oven.
This savory cake is best served with any kind of meat or fish.
