Pilau
Poplar Indian Recipe can be served as a main course at dinner. For a better taste, you can add other vegetables such as cabbage, carrots, or green beans.

1/4kg lean beef |

1 c. rice |

2 chopped onions |
|
 |
2 tbsp. butter or oil |

 |
2 crushed garlic cloves |

 |
2 tomatoes |
|
 |
1/2tsp. cardamom seeds |
|
 |
1 stick cinnamon |
|
 |
2 tsp. salt |
|
 |
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice |
|
 |
1 tsp. oil or melted butter |
|
 |
1 c. water |
|
 |
2 c. coconut milk |
|

 |
Sauté onion and garlic in preheated oil for 3 minutes then add lemon juice and stir well |

Cut beef into cubes and peel and slice tomato |
|
 |
Stir the meat cubes and tomato in preheated oil on medium fire for 5 minutes with paying attention not to let the meat stick in the bottom of the skillet |

Pour a cub of water, lower heat, and leave the mixture to simmer for half an hour on low fire |

 |
Combine coconut milk, rice, spices and add to the simmering mixture and make sure that the water covers the surface of the mixture then cover and leave till the rice is cooked |

 |
Remove from fire and put in the oven at 375 F for 15 minutes and then remove and serve hot with any king of vegetables |
