1 red chili pepper, hot |

1 teaspoon black pepper powder |

2 onions, chopped very fine |

1/2 teaspoon tabil |

pinch of turmeric |
|
 |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
|
 |
1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds |
|

3 tablespoon olive oil |
|
 |
2 tablespoons salt |

 |
put onions, turmeric and salt in tureen and leave them two days untill they become wet and soft. |

Squeeze to extract moisture. |
|
 |
Chop chili coarsely after removing stem and seeds. |
|
 |
Soak in boiling water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry. |
|
 |
Blend all ingredients and whirl to obtain a smooth thick consistency. |
|
 |
Place in jar, sprinkle top with olive oil, cover, refrigerate, then store. |
