Peanut Puffs


Malawi peanut puffs are famous African sweet cookies which came originally from Malawi, the “warm heart of Africa”.

To make about 2 dozen of puffs, you need:  
1/2 c. margarine  
1 c. flour  
powdered sugar  
2 tbsp. sugar  
2/3 c. peanuts, cut into tiny pieces  
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract  
طريقه التحضير
Bring oven to 325°F heat.
Brush a baking sheet with cooking oil / margarine.
Mix margarine and sugar in a medium mixing bowl until you get a creamy texture.
Add flour, peanuts, and vanilla to the margarine-sugar mixture and blend thoroughly until well blended.
Shape dough into small balls with your fingers.
When all dough is shaped, transferred onto greased baking sheet and place in oven to bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
When backed, remove from oven.
Place some powdered sugar in a deep bowl. Place backed puffs in bowl and roll to coat totally with sugar.
Serve warm or cool.
