Put dates in a bowl with cold water until tender. |

After 30 minutes, remove from water and split into halves. |

Remove inedible seed and pits. Leave aside. |

Slice brown candy and allow to dissolve in 2 c. boiling water in a glass bowl. Allow to cool. |

Put rice flour in a large bowl and hole it at the center. Fill hole with dissolved brown candy. |

Add flour and sugar and mix all until the dough is smooth and shiny and becomes easy to work with. |

Knead dough gently with your hands. |

Brush a cake pan with vegetable oil. |

Place dough in pan and press to shape it with the pan's design. |

Garnish cake's surface with sesame seeds and tender dates. |

Steam cake over a covered rack of a steamer over high heat for about 35 to 50 minutes. Keep watching the water under the cake and add more if it needs. |

Remove pan from steamer and set aside to cool. |

Gently remove cake from pan and wrap it in plastic. Place in refrigerator until ready to serve. |
