Milky Cold Sauce

1 thinly sliced onion, |

2 cups chicken broth |

 |
1 tablespoon butter |
|
 |
salt and pepper |
|
 |
1/2 cup best quality flour |
|
 |
1 cup milk |

 |
Mix chicken broth with flour, seasoning, and milk, with stirring cotinuously till finely blended. |

Put over low flame and cook, stirring constantly, to reach the thickness of thin custard pudding. |

Place in shallow serving dish to cool. |

Fry onion in the butter until nicely brown, drain on absorbent paper and cool, and sprinkle with kishk and present cold. |
