Mangoes grow in abundance during summer in Thailand. This tasty traditional dessert is perfect for a satisfying holiday.

Peel and slice mango. Set aside. |

Put some amount of sticky rice in a bowl and add a small quantity of warm water. |

Allow rice to soak in warm water for 10 minutes. |

Cover the bowl and place into a highly heated microwave for 3 minutes. |

Remove to stir then place into microwave for extra 3 minutes or until well cooked. |

Place coconut milk in a saucepan over medium heat. |

 |
Allow milk to be cooked (but not boiled), keeping the stir. |

Stir in sugar and salt until well mixed. |

Remove from heat. |

Pour three-fourths of the hot coconut milk over the hot sticky rice. |

Allow rice to absorb all the milk and become slightly mushy. |

Put cooked rice on a serving plate. |
|
 |
Top rice with mangoes. |

 |
Pour remaining coconut milk on top of the rice to add flavored taste. |
|
After 3 minutes of cooking in the microwave, try to check the sticky rice often until you are sure it is done. This because the exact cooking time varies from one microwave to another. Cooked rice are usually translucent. |
