Soak hibiscus petals in cold water for 1-2 hours. |

Move to pot and bring to a boil. |
|

Remove pot immediately and strain using a very fine sieve or filter paper. |

Place petals in pot again. |
|
 |
Cover with fresh cold water. |
|
 |
Bring to a boil, once more filtering the juice. |
|
 |
Repeat until red color of karkadeeh fades away. |
|
 |
Put petals aside and add sugar to taste while juice is still hot. |
|
 |
You can serve Karkadeeh either ice-cold or hot in winter. |
|
You can get dried hibiscus petals from most supermarkets. |
