Gingerbread


المقادير
Margarine  
1/2 c. (1 stick) unsalted butter  
1 c. flour  
3 eggs  
2 tsp. baking powder  
1 table spoon of ground ginger  
1 tbsp. ground allspice  
2/3c. molasses  
1/2 tsp. salt  
1 tsp. baking soda  
1/2 c. packed dark brown sugar  
طريقه التحضير
Grease the bottom and sides of a middle-sized cake pan and put in a preheated oven at 325°F.
Dust the pan lightly with a very small amount of flour and set aside.
Sift the flour, ginger, allspice, salt, baking powder, and baking soda into a bowl.
Cream the butter and brown sugar until very soft in another bowl.
Add the eggs one by one to the butter, mix in the molasses, and then fold in the dry ingredients.
Place the mixture into the prepared pan put in the oven until the top springs back when pressed lightly with your fingertips or for an hour.
Remove it from the oven and let it to cool before serving it.
