Gingerbread Cookies


This sweet treat is widely prepared on delightful celebrations especially the Christmas Eve. Households usually hang some of these cookies on the Christmas tree as a sign of joy.

To make 50 to 75 cookies, you need to prepare:  
1 tsp. ginger  
3 tbsp. vinegar  
4 1/2 c. flour  
1 c. butter  
2 c. sugar  
1/2 c. molasses  
2 eggs  
1/2 tsp. white pepper  
1 tsp. cinnamon  
3 tsp. baking soda  
1 tsp. baking powder

Bring oven to 375°F heat.
Combine butter and sugar in a large mixing container until light and fluffy.
Add molasses, eggs, and vinegar and blend thoroughly.
In another container, make a mixture of the components: flour, baking soda, baking powder, white pepper, ginger, and cinnamon.
Add flour mixture to the butter and sugar, keeping the stir until well blended.
Heavily dust a flat surface (such as a tabletop or a wooden board).
Transfer dough onto floured surface.
With rolling pin, roll out dough until thin.
Divide and form into desired shapes with cookie cutters or make circles with rim of a glass.
Place cookies onto ungreased cookie sheets
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes (or until dough consistency is puffy with golden color).
Do the same with other remaining cookies until all done.
Serve.
