Garlic Soup


The Cuban cuisine is best known for using garlic as a basic ingredient in many recipes, such as this flavorful soup.
المقادير
2 slices stale bread  
4 c. chicken broth  
1 bay leaf  
1/2tsp. salt  
2 tbsp. olive oil  
6 cloves garlic  
1 beaten egg  
طريقه التحضير
Peel and crush the cloves garlic.
Sauté crushed garlic in a deep saucepan with oil over medium-high heat for about 2 to 3 minutes, or until golden.
Cut the slices stale bread into cubes.
Add bread cubes to saucepan.
Remove saucepan from heat. Transfer fried bread and garlic into a small bowl and crush with a fork.
Again, place bread and garlic in the saucepan over heat.
Stir in chicken broth, bay leaf, and salt. Parboil all mixture over high heat.
Reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes more.
Stir in the beaten egg. Serve immediately while hot.
