Fruit Salad


Usually prepared by well-to-do families, this fruit salad is made as a nice treat for special celebrations and holidays.

4 to 6 large, ripe mangoes  
4 medium bananas  
1 c. cubed pineapple  
1/2 c. coconut, cut lengthwise  
juice from 1 medium lime  
1 c. water  
1/2 c. sugar  
1 large tomato (optional)  
Chunks of papaya can also be added.
طريقه التحضير
Peel and slice bananas.
Wash and peel large mangoes.
Gently slice mangoes into mouthful pieces.
Slice tomato in half, squeeze each to remove the seeds, then chop into mouthful pieces.
Make a mixture of bananas, mangoes, and tomatoes in a large bowl.
Add pineapple and carefully toss without mashing components.
In another small bowl, make a mixture of lime juice, 1 c. water, and sugar then stir very well.
Pour lime-juice mixture over fruit mixture, cover, and allow to chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Toss well, decorate top with shredded coconut, then serve.
