Festive Rice Pudding (Moghlie )


Festive Rice Pudding or Moghlie is one of the traditional recipes in Lebanon served in celebrations of new born babies and in holidays.
المقادير
1/2c. ground rice  
3 to 3 1/2 c. water  
1/2 c. sugar  
1/2 tsp. aniseed  
1 tsp. caraway seed  
Dash of ground ginger  
2 tbsp. chopped almonds  
2 tbsp. chopped pistachios  
2 tbsp. chopped walnuts  
طريقه التحضير
Cover the ground rice with cold water and sugar and chill for some hours
Add the mixture gradually to 2 cups of boiling water and stir well until the mixture boils and becomes very smooth
Reduce fire and leave it to simmer covered for 10 minutes to become thick
Remove from fire and leave 3 minutes to cool and then serve in transparent bowls and garnish with chopped nuts and serve cold
