Cuban cookies is a sweet dish most favored by Cuban children especially when served with tart lime juice on birthdays and other delightful occasions.

Bring oven to 375°F heat. |

Use an electric mixer (or a wooden spoon) to blend cream butter and sugar in a large container. |

Add lime juice, lime peel, egg yolks, and vanilla and mix well. |

In another bowl, make a mixture of flour, salt, and baking powder. Add to butter mixture and blend thoroughly. |

Fold dough into a waxed paper and allow 1 hour for refrigeration. |

With your fingertips, shape dough into balls in the size of walnuts and place onto ungreased baking sheets. |

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes the cookies start to have a golden color a wire rack |

Cool cookies on baking sheets for 5 minutes. Then transfer onto |

Sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
