Make a mixture of the hot-roll mix with sugar in a large bowl, then mix thoroughly. |

Add hot water, egg, butter, cardamom, and nutmeg and mix well until dough pulls away from sides of bowl. |

Add raisins, currants, and cherries. Blend thoroughly. |

Dust flat surface and rolling pin with a pinch of flour for rolling. |

Start kneading the dough for 5 minutes, then cover with a large bowl and let remaining for 5 minutes. |

Roll dough with rolling pin into an oval, 10 to 12 inches long and about 1 inch thick. |

Fold in half and cover. Allow to rise and double in bulk (about 45 minutes). |

Bring the oven to 375°F heat. |

Bake dough for 22 to 25 minutes. |

Allow to cool on a wire rack. |

Mix the powdered sugar and milk to make icing. Put some on top of bread and slice. Now serve. |

When baking the cake, it may start to brown too quickly. If it happens, cover it with foil. |
