Cheese Pancakes


Sirniki are fried quark cheese pancakes eaten for breakfast or for supper. Households usually present this savory dish garnished with sour cream, honey, apple sauce, or jam. Raisins can be added to give it a tastier flavor.
المقادير
2 lb. farmer cheese  
1 egg  
1 c. sugar  
1/2 tsp. salt  
1 1/2 c. flour  
sunflower oil  
You can replace farmer cheese with ricotta cheese
طريقه التحضير
Pound cheese with a fork and place into a large bowl, then add egg and blend well with sugar and salt.
Put flour to the cheese mixture gradually until dough thickens
Knead well with your hands.
Dust hands with flour. Take a piece of dough in the size of a medium apple, then roll it.
Press well to shape a pancake of about 1 inch thick. Do the same with the remaining dough.
Place sunflower oil into a large frying pan over medium heat for 1 minute. Place pancakes onto the pan and fry for 3 to 4 minutes
When bottoms of pancakes are golden brown, turn over and fry until second side has same color.
When done, take away from fire and put on paper towels
Sprinkle pancakes with sugar and serve.
