Baked Kubeiba


Lebanese, Syrian, and Palestinian recipe

2 tablespoons pine nuts  
1/2 kg savory minced beef

Moisen hands, unfold piece of the kubeiba about 2 cms thick in bottom of greased oven tin.
Make a mixture of savory minced beef and pine nuts, and sprinkle all over the kubeiba evenly.
Moisen hands again and unfold another part of kubeiba, only 1 cm thick, and completely cover the savory minced beef.
Use a knife to cut the kubeiba into 6-8 sections, then make rectangular or oblong incisions in the upper layer only, and pass knife all around tin to release the kubeiba.
Add dots of cooking oil on each section and bake in pre-heated hot oven for 35-40 minutes.
