Baked Cod
Fish is one of the basic dishes on the Norway table and there is a great deal of versions that involve fish. Households have many ways to deal with it: they bake it, poach it in water, fry it, combine it with potatoes, onions, and flour it into fishballs, or cook it in a casserole with white sauce and bread crumbs.

Heat oven at 350°F. |

Butter the bottom of a baking pan. |
|

Arrange cad fillets in pan and fit them closely together. |
|
 |
Cover fillets with enough hot milk. |
|
 |
Spread a teaspoon of butter over each fillet. |
|
 |
Place in preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. |
|
 |
When fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, remove from heat. |
|
 |
Serve. |
