This dessert is named after the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC), which fought in World War I (1914–1918).

Instead of honey, you can use light corn syrup |

Bring oven to 300°F heat. |

Place the flour, oats, coconut, and sugar into a bowl and mix thoroughly. |

Dissolve butter (or margarine) in a small pan over low heat, and stir in honey or corn syrup. |

Put baking soda in a small bowl then add 2 tbsp of boiling water and stir to dissolve then add to dissolved butter mixture. |

Pour melted butter mixture over oat mixture and blend thoroughly |

Cover two baking sheets with aluminum foil placing some dough apart onto sheets and bake for 11:12 minutes until browned. |

Allow to cool for 1 to 2 minutes. Transfer biscuits carefully and serve. |
