Almond Fruit Float
This cool, low-fat dessert is very refreshing on a hot day.

1/2 c. sugar |

 |
1/2 c. milk |
|
 |
1 13-oz. can fruit with syrup |
|
 |
1 envelope unflavored gelatin |
|
 |
1 c. water |
|
 |
1 tbsp. almond extract |
|
|
|
Any kind of fruit, fresh or canned, may be used in this recipe. |

Leave gelatin in a saucepan with water to dissolve, then bring to high heat until boiled. |

Reduce heat to low. Add sugar and stir until well dissolved then add milk and almond extract keeping the stir until well mixed. |

Leave to cool for 45 to 60 minutes in a deep pan, then place into refrigerator until cool. Chop into the size of small cubes, sprinkle with fruit and syrup. |
