African Fruit Salad


This refreshing low-fat dessert is perfect after a satisfying meal.
المقادير
2/3 cups of water  
10/2 cups of sugar  
1 sliced vanilla bean  
1 fresh mango  
Suitable amount of strawberries  
Suitable amount of lemon juice  
1 20-oz. can pineapple chunks in juice, drained  
2 c. watermelon, seeded and cut into small pieces  
3 bananas  
طريقه التحضير
Mix water, sugar, and sliced vanilla bean into a saucepan and place over medium-high heat until boiled.
Cook for 8 to 10 minutes until thickens with syrupy then remove from heat and set aside to cool.
Cut mango into medium pieces. Peel and slice bananas and sprinkle with lemon juice. Split strawberries into halves. Add all fruit to bowl and mix well.
Discard vanilla bean from syrup. Pour syrup over fruit mixture and keep stirring well, then serve in individual plates.
