Lentils (split) with Rice


Lentil is one of the healthiest foods since it contains high levels of protein, and sufficient levels of essential amino acids. It is usually mixed with grains such as rice producing a complete protein dish.
المقادير
1/2 cup rice  
2 cups lentils  
2 tablespoons oil  
2 onions  
salt, 5 garlic cloves  
1/2 teaspoon cumin  
طريقه التحضير
Cook lentils with garlic and one onion, and cover with two and a half times their measure in water for about 20 minutes.
Pass through juice extractor a using coarse screen, then return to flame,
Adding rice, salt, and cumin, and cook over slow flame.
Chop remaining onion thin and fry to a rich dark color.
Strain oil onto lentils and spread fried onions to cool.
Stir the lentils, pour in serving dish, and decorate with fried onion.
